TelcoSolutions was incorporated in 1974 and for over 25 plus years TelcoSolutions provided unique products to the telephone and television industries, major banks and other large users of telephone systems. Millions of people used our system without ever knowing TelcoSolutions was behind the scene making their interaction simple. For example, in the 1980's, if someone ordered Pay-Per-View TV by calling a phone number without being prompted for additional information, then that system was a TelcoSolutions system. Based on the caller's phone number and the phone number called, the system: (1) Identified which cable company was used by the caller (without using a subscriber database); (2) Determined which show/event was selected; (3) Sent the order to the cable company; (4) Acknowledged the order. When Mike Tyson fought, the system handled over a million calls per fight.

In 2001, TelcoSolutions started to phase-out its telephone-related products. Some of these products had been in operation for over 20 years and maintenance of these systems had become a burden. Instead, the TelcoSolutions team decided to use its knowledge of the the telephone system to provide law enforcement with a simple method for obtaining telephone subscriber information based on a subpoena, summons or search warrant. This became SAGE.
